Grade: 1 & 2

Type: Hands-On Workshop, level 4 outside Kidspark

Duration: 45 minutes

Time: 2:00 pm

What are the basic needs for all living things, and how do different organisms adapt to their environments? Learn about the important roles of air, water and soil and what humans can do to create a healthy environment to care for all living things.

We encourage our grade 1  and 2  students to take part in this fun workshop which is part of the grade 1&2 curriculum.

2. On-Site School Program

Topic: Machines & Mechanisms

Grade:  3 & 4

Type: Hands-On Workshop

Duration: 45 minutes

Time: 1:00 pm

Feel the force! How do machines make it easier to get things done? Explore how different mechanisms transmit motion and transform forces. Then, design and build a machine of your own and test its ability to perform simple tasks.

We encourage our grade 3  and 4  students to take part in this fun workshop which is part of the grade 4 curriculum.

3. On-Site School Program

Topic: Maker's Challenge: Flight

Grade: 5-7

Type: Hands-On Workshop, meet on level 6 outside hot zone.

Duration: 90 minutes

Time: 2:00 pm

Science, engineering and art collide with this exciting program! Consider the forces of flight as you design a strong, stable flying structure that uses the properties of air to lift an unconventional payload. Then, use your problem-solving skills to test and improve your invention.

We encourage our grade 5 -7  students to take part in this fun workshop which is part of the grade 6 curriculum.

4. On-Site School Program

Topic: Chemistry Concepts with Action
